Looking to make a difference as an Intern?
Children of One Planet supports a year round intern and fellowship program. Our program offers semester long positions throughout our organization that provide unique learning while doing opportunities, with real hands-on experience and broad exposure to the non-profit world. As an intern or fellow, you will work alongside our amazing Children of One Planet team members, who are committed to helping you develop and refine your skills within a chosen field. Your work will focus on the advancement of important strategic projects.

  • Interns and fellows work the specified hours per week designated by their specific semester requirements

  • Intern Status: high school
  • Fellow Status: graduate or post-graduate student
  • Housing and relocation are not provided
  • Interns and fellows will work in a location per discussion with managing team member
  • Candidate must be enrolled in high school or college

  • Media relations, post on various social media
  • Web design, graphic design and layout using art work, banners,
  • Fund raising, correspondence and grant writing

Volunteers Help Make a Difference

Children of One Planet welcomes and encourages committed individuals to apply their skills as volunteers. Skilled volunteer opportunities range from short-term to long-term assignments, and are offered in a variety of areas such as finance, fundraising, marketing and communications, public policy, and social media to promote food security, physical and behavioral health education and protection of children and teens. 

A skilled volunteer is an individual who:

  • Supports specific project work under the direct supervision of a Children of One Planet Project Lead and/or Board Member
  • Is able to commit a minimum of 4-6 hours a week; but may work up to 20 hours periodically to complete projects
  • Is available to work with a Project Lead and/or Board Member online and via phone. Offers services freely, without promise, expectation or receipt of compensation
  • Skilled volunteers will have the opportunity to may be hired as a contractor
  • Possess the knowledge and skills needed to do the work 
  • Business accounting and spreadsheets
    ○ Graphic design
    ○ Website design
    ○ Photography and video
    ○ Grant writing
    ○ Media relations and advertising
    ○ Correspondence, written and telephone
    ○ Computer applications
    ○ Social Media
