In late June 2023 Navistar revealed the latest fuel efficiency achievement of its International SuperTruck II, a project undertaken in partnership with the US Department of Energy. The experimental truck recorded a claimed 16 miles per US gallon (6.5km/L) at a GCM of 36 tonnes.
